Child actor Olivier Tuinier's swansong was as Maurits in the 1992 Tv film Blazen tot honderd (The Dandelion Game) -- Not his last film, Paradiso (2001) and a small role in the 2006 film DJ Donnie Don -- but it was this role in the dark and brooding Belgian art film about a boy who laments the death of its mother that was almost too much for the young actor.
The following year he decided leave the business to finish school and pursure a career in music. Today Olivier is a recognized DJ in The Netherlands known as "O.Boogie".
As an actor three films brought him recognition and fame Het Zakmes (1992) where he plays Mees Grobben, a young boy who must return a pocket-knife to a friend... the 1993 film Kleine Blonde Dood playing Mickey the young child of poet Valentijn Boecke... and De Tasjesdief (The Purse Snatcher - 1995), all film festival winners.
His charming smile and spontanous ability in front of the camera made him a crowd pleaser. By the time he was 15-years-old Olivier was a teenage hearthrob with girls chasing him through the streets of his hometown of Amsterdam.
